Ladysmith Black Mambazo
- King Of Kings (Live at Montreux 2000)
Ladysmith Black Mambazo are the most famous and successful Zulu vocal group of all time. Founded and led by Joseph Shabalala in 1974, they quickly became hugely popular in their native South Africa but it was their collaboration with Paul Simon on his classic Graceland album in the mid-eighties that brought them to a worldwide audience.
The group's stunning vocal harmonies combining a number of bass voices with a single tenor and alto and with Shabalala singing lead are instantly recognizable and extraordinarily powerful and their live shows are also a showcase for athletic Zulu dancing.

Insingizi: Ngizobambelela (I Will Hold On) Lyrics & Translation
Insingizi: Ngizobambelela (I Will Hold On) Lyrics & Translation
Contrary to much of what we hear preached about within Christianity today; the bible warns us how in the latter days how ".. many will turn away from the faith" (Matt 24:10) in times of difficulties and in testing.
However just as a good sailor is seen in a storm; a good servant will cling onto and rejoice in the Love of the Lord Jesus. David declared in Psalms 97:10 "Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked." This song, sung in Ndebele (also can be understood in Zulu by Insingizi declares how the Love of the Lord Jesus is far higher and greater than anything the world or man can offer.
Ngizobambelela means 'I will hold on", or "I will persevere" encouraging the believer to stand firm being a good seed; not the seeds that fall on the rocks which "receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away."
(Luke 8:13)
